TERMS AND CONDITIONS

1. DISCLAIMER

a. GS Diamonds reserves the right to update and/or modify the Terms and Conditions (‘T&Cs’) of the Returns, Refunds and Exchange Policy at any time without prior notice. An alteration or updated version of the T&Cs will constitute the new T&Cs of GS Diamonds Pty Ltd and www.gsdiamonds.com.au. The customer agrees to be bound by such T&Cs when ordering from both the website and in store.

b. While GS Diamonds has done it’s utmost to guarantee that the details and information covered in this site are as accurate as possible, GS Diamonds, its Directors and Employees will not be held liable for any omissions or errors found, that are unintentional at the time of this posting.

c. GS Diamonds reserves the right to withdraw any diamonds or jewellery from sale at any time at its sole and absolute discretion, without prior notice.

 

2. PAYMENT OPTIONS

a. We accept Cash (in store), PayPal, Bank Transfers, Bank Cheques and all Credit Cards (excluding Diners Club).

i. Please Note: PayPal purchases cannot be collected in store. They will be shipped to the address supplied to us from your PayPal account only (must be a street address, not a post office box). Please ensure the address you enter is correct as a change of address is not possible once ordered. There is no surcharge applied to PayPal purchases. You must sign up for a PayPal account in order for PayPal to verify you. This is a security procedure that will protect you as a buyer. To sign up for PayPal, please visit www.paypal.com.

             ii. Bank Transfers can take up to 2-3 working days to clear, we will not acknowledge payment until funds are cleared.

iii. Bank Cheques must be made out to GS Diamonds Pty Ltd. We will not acknowledge payment until funds are cleared.

iv. A 1.5% surcharge applies to Premium Domestic & International Credit Cards. A 3% surcharge applies to American Express and is automatically added to your credit card purchase.

v. We do not accept Diners Club.

vi. Lay-By available. 6 week lay-by unless stated otherwise. Payments must be made weekly until lay-by has been finalised. This does not apply to loose diamonds, which must be paid in full within 7 days.

vii. International customers must pay in full via bank transfer or Pay Pal before item/s will be ordered and shipped.

viii. Customers must produce their original copy of tax invoice to pick up goods in store. If you have misplaced your tax invoice, 100 points of ID (including photo) will need to be produced to collect goods.

  

3. RETURNS, REFUNDS & EXCHANGE POLICY

3.1 Jewellery

a. Lifetime Guarantee against manufacturing faults: We stand by the quality and craftsmanship of our jewellery. All our jewellery is manufactured with the highest quality materials, using the latest in innovative technology and created by highly skilled designers and jewellers. All our jewellery is thoroughly inspected before it is shipped, therefore we are pleased to offer our customers a Lifetime guarantee against manufacturing faults on all GS Diamonds manufactured items. This ensures peace of mind for our customers. If for any reason you find a manufacturing fault with your jewellery item, please bring it in to our store or ship it to us to be assessed by our jewellers. Repairs for manufacturing faults are free of charge to the customer. If it is found that any damage is the result of general wear and tear (this includes damage such as dents on claws and band, scratches), the customer will be charged a repair fee. Customers will always be notified of the assessment outcome before a repair is undertaken.

i. Please Note: This guarantee does not cover general wear and tear or physical damage to the item, loss of stones or theft. We recommend you take out insurance for your jewellery items.  Please see section Jewellery and Diamond Care and Insurance for more information.

ii. GS Diamonds will not be held accountable for any items repaired or altered by another jeweller other than GS Diamonds or its agent(s). Any repairs or alterations made without the agreement of GS Diamonds will void any return/refund or exchange as well as void the Lifetime Guarantee.

iii. You must contact us first before returning an item. Please see section How to Return an Item for Refund, Exchange or Repair for more information.

b. 28 Day Exchange and Credit Notes: Goods that have been viewed by the customer cannot be returned for a refund. Exchange or credit note, valid for 28 days, available for items that have been viewed by the customer. Goods refers to ready made stock jewellery (no loose diamonds or custom made / modified goods), purchased in store or online.

c. 14 Day Refunds: Applicable only to goods that have not been viewed by the customer before purchase. Goods refers to ready made stock jewellery (no loose diamonds or custom made / modified goods), purchased in store or online.

i. Please Note: Requests for refund or exchange will be managed by our quality control department. They will assess the condition of the returned item and only unworn items in their original condition will be accepted.

ii. No refund or exchange on any items that show and general wear and tear, damage or have been engraved, resized or modified.

iii. The return process takes up to 5 business days to process. You will be notified of the outcome once your return has been assessed.

iv. Shipping costs and insurance associated with the return or exchange of items are non-refundable and are the shipper’s responsibility.

v. Refunds for returned items will be issued in the same form they were originally paid.

vi. Jewellery items received outside of the 14 day refund period will not be accepted.

vii. No refund on sale items. If a sale item is returned within 7 days of date of purchase, a Credit Note to the same value will be issued and is valid for 28 days.

viii. No refund or exchange on custom made goods, this includes products that have been engraved, resized or modified from their original design in any way.

ix. Cancellations on custom made items and overseas orders (including loose diamonds) will incur a cancellation fee of our justified costs of the total purchase price.

3.2 Loose Diamonds

a. Diamonds from our In Store Selection: These diamonds can be viewed in store at any time.

i. Please Note: These diamonds can be returned and refunded in full within 7 days of purchase or can be exchanged and are applicable for a 28 day Credit Note.

ii. Diamonds received outside of this 7 day period will not be accepted.

iii. Diamonds returned without their original Diamond Certificate will NOT be accepted.

iv. This does not include diamonds that have been set.

v. You must contact us first before returning an item. Please see section How to Return an Item for Refund, Exchange or Repair for more information.

b. Diamonds from our Affiliated International Suppliers (Online Inventory): These diamonds can be brought in from overseas:

i. These diamonds can be returned and refunded within 7 days of purchase or can be exchanged and are applicable for a 28 day Credit Note.

ii. Diamonds received outside of this 7 day period will not be accepted.

iii. Diamonds returned without their original Diamond Certificate will NOT be accepted.

v. This does not include diamonds that have been set.

vi. You must contact us first before returning an item. Please see section How to Return an Item for Refund, Exchange or Repair for more information.

c. Diamonds from Other International Suppliers (Online Inventory): These diamonds can be brought in from overseas and must be paid for in full before they are ordered in for viewing.

i. Please Note: Our diamond and jewellery consultants will inform you of this no refund or exchange policy before a diamond is brought in and this will be marked on your tax invoice.

ii. These diamonds cannot be returned for refund, exchange or credit note. Sale of these diamonds is final.

 

4. HOW TO RETURN AN ITEM FOR REFUND, EXCHANGE OR REPAIR

a. Please contact us before proceeding with your return. You will then be given the necessary instructions on how to proceed with the return.

b. Package your return - include all the original packaging, the original certificate(s) and a copy of your invoice.

c. For security purposes do not write GS Diamonds, GS or the word jewellery or any other words indicating jewellery on the outside of the box or package.

d. If we have advised you to ship your item back to us:

i. Our address is Shop 34-36, Level 2, Queen Victoria Building,  455 George Street, Sydney NSW 2000, Australia.

ii. Insure your package: Send your package by registered mail, as this is a safe way to ship valuable items. Also, insure the package for the entire amount of the invoice including shipping/handling costs. For returns in excess of $5000 please contact third party insurance company for your protection coverage.

• Please Note: The customer has to incur the costs of any third party insurance and return shipping.

• GS Diamonds is not liable for items lost, stolen or damaged during return shipping.

e. If we have advised you to come into our store in person:

i. Our address is Shop 34-36, Level 2, Queen Victoria Building,  455 George Street, Sydney NSW 2000, Australia.

f. Once a return is accepted, we will be in contact to handle the conditions of the return, exchange or repair.

i. Please Note: You must contact us before returning an item for refund, exchange or repair.

ii. Any refund will cover the price of the item, excluding shipping/handling and insurance costs.

iii. Returns that do not comply with the Returns Policy will not be accepted.

iv. Loss, damage or theft of return shipments is the sole responsibility of customer.

 

5. REPAIR POLICIES

a. Any pieces of jewellery brought in with a request to remove a diamond (GS Diamonds bought or other) and have that diamond re-set into another mount or a re-model of the customers piece of jewellery the diamond was removed from, the below conditions are strictly applicable: 

i. The diamond certificate must be viewed and the laser inscription of the diamond being removed must be checked and verified.

             ii. If there is no laser inscription on the diamond, a consultant will show the inclusions of the diamond as a form of checking when picking up the remodelled/re-set item. 

iii. PLEASE BE AWARE THAT GS DIAMONDS IS NOT LIABLE FOR ANY CHIP, CRACK OR DEFECR FOUND IN THE DIAMOND UPON THE TIME OF REMOVING THE DIAMOND FROM ITS EXISTING SETTING. 

iv. In all cases, an appointment must be made with the sales consultant and the GS Diamonds workshop, so that you can accompany the sales person to the workshop and be present when the diamond is being removed.

v. These conditions have been put in place to protect you diamond. 

 

6. SHIPPING POLICY

a. We offer Free Shipping on all orders to Australia and New Zealand. These orders are also fully insured by GS Diamonds.

b. Shipments include your item(s) as well as:

i. A letter of verification signed by two GS Diamonds staff members to affirm that order has been checked

ii. Diamond Certificate, if applicable to order

iii. Valuation Certificate

iv. GS Diamonds Packaging

c. Orders placed:

i. Between 9:30 am - 4:30 pm on Monday - Friday will be processed same day.

ii. Orders placed outside of these hours, Saturdays, Sundays and Public Holidays will be processed the following business day.

d. Please contact us for more information on your order.

i. Please Note: We use Australia Post Express Platinum postal service for our shipments within Australia, which provides the buyer with a tracking number. We use Fed-Ex for shipping to New Zealand.

ii. Fed-Ex is also used for all other international destinations.

iii. We do not ship to post boxes. We only ship to your home or work address where there is a person available to collect and sign for your order. If no one is available, Australia Post will leave a Collect Card and you will be directed to your nearest Post Office to collect your shipment. 


iv. PayPal purchases will only be shipped to address on invoice. PayPal purchases cannot, at any time, be collected from our store.

v. GS Diamonds recommends the examination of your package before signing or receiving goods that look to be tampered or damaged.

  

7. JEWELLERY AND DIAMOND CARE AND INSURANCE

a. Care: We offer our customers free cleaning and polishing services in store for life and your first Rhodium plating is free. All other rhodium plating will be at a small cost.

b. Insurance: We do not offer in house insurance policies. We are affiliated with Centrestone Jewellery Insurance, Australia’s leading jewellery insurance provider. Centrestone Insurance provide GS Diamonds customers with comprehensive insurance policies that protect jewellery worldwide. For more information please contact us for more information.

 

8. VALUATION REPORT

a. A valuation report is a document that provides a detailed description and value of your jewellery item(s). A standard jewellery valuation involves carefully examining each item to assess the quality and attain a value based on current market conditions.

b. GS Diamonds are proud to have a member of the Australian National Council of Jewellery Valuers work with us. Our Valuer will provide a valuation after completion of your purchase.

c. Please note, that valualtions at GS Diamonds are only done for jewellery and diamonds made/purchased from us. Diamonds purchased from us that are in need of a valuation require a valid certificate. WE DO NOT ACCEPT ANY OTHER ITEMS OF JEWELLERY OR DIAMONDS THAT ARE NOT MADE BY GS DIAMONDS AND/OR PURCHASED FROM GS DIAMONDS FOR VALUATION.

  

9. DIAMOND CERTIFICATES

a. All diamonds over .30ct (this only applies to loose diamonds) purchased from GS Diamonds come with an official Diamond Certificate (also known as a Diamond Grading Report).

b. Three of the most highly respected diamond laboratories, renowned internationally for their accuracy and integrity, provide GS Diamonds with these Certificates.

c. Each Certificate will outline the following factors of the diamond:

• Shape and Cut

• Carat Weight

• Colour Grade

• Clarity Grade

• Any information obtained on Proportions, Polish, Symmetry, Fluorescence and Clarity Characteristics

 

10. PRIVACY POLICY

a. We value the importance of our customers’ privacy, and therefore we do not disclose or distribute customer details or information to any third parties at any time.

b. In the instances of using customers’ feedback or photos for testimonials on our website or social media channels, permission will be requested from the customer before anything is published.

  

11. PRODUCT INFORMATION AND IMAGES

a. Management has attempted to accurately depict the products offered on the site. However, because the depiction of a product is dependent on your computer monitor, we cannot guarantee that such depiction will be accurate. Products may appear larger or smaller than their actual size and colors will vary depending on your monitor. Some photographs have been enlarged to show detail.

 

12. COPYRIGHT AND TRADEMARK INFORMATION

a. GS Diamonds, its products, images, logos, web design and all other items contained on this website are protected by Copyright and Trademark Laws.

b. It is explicitly prohibited to reproduce, use, modify or in any way display or distribute this material without written permission from GS Diamonds.
